SYMPATHY CARD MESSAGES

Pet Loss Sympathy Card Messages That Do Not Sound Generic

Short is fine. The goal is to acknowledge the relationship, not write a perfect speech.

If you knew the pet

“I’m so sorry about Max. I’ll always remember how he brought you a toy the second anyone walked through the door. He was such a big part of your home.”

If you did not know the pet

“I’m so sorry about Luna. I know how much she meant to you and how much of your daily life she was part of. I’m thinking about you.”

For a longtime companion

“Fourteen years is a whole chapter of life to share with someone. I’m so sorry. I hope the familiar little memories start to feel comforting in time.”

For a small pet

“Mochi may have been small, but I know the space she held in your life was not. I’m thinking about you.”

What to leave out

Avoid “at least,” replacement-pet suggestions, timelines for grief, or spiritual claims unless you know the person shares them.

KEEP THE LITTLE THINGS

Turn the details into something you can keep.

Forever Familiar turns one favorite photo and a few specific memories into a six-piece digital tribute pack.
